Tell Apple a secret.
Your iPhone regularly sends Apple statistics about how you use it: words you type, emoji you pick, sites you visit in Safari. Apple says these reports are private because each one is mixed with random noise on your phone before it is sent.
How this works
This page runs Apple’s own privacy code, the part of macOS that adds the noise, on a Mac at our stand. You enter something, the code turns it into the kind of report your phone sends, and then we try to recover what you entered from that report alone.
The attacks come from our research paper, which won a Distinguished Paper Award at the IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy 2026. Apple was told about them in August 2025.
